IMAGINE are in need of a new Oven
at the Family Homes of Hope
Can you help....?
The IMAGINE Family Homes of Hope is now providing full time care to 50 orphaned or vulnerable children in KaTembe. The homes were built to provide care in a family environment and each home is run as an individual unit but the Foster Parents.
The house of Foster Mother Luisa, is the home of 13 children; Gervasio is the oldest, at 17 and is followed by another 5 teenage children. Then there are two 12 year olds, two 10 year olds, a 6 year old and lastly, Lulu, the youngest child at the centre, who turned 3 in May.
The gas oven in Luisa’s home broke last month and she is now unable to cook in the house for her children. She is currently reliant on the other families or the outdoor fire to cook for her children. IMAGINE are looking for the donation of a gas oven from any of their supporter in Mozambique, or a financial donation specifically to put an oven into Luisa’s home so that she can, once again cook warm food in her house for the children.

Another Family recieve a New Home!
Thanks to a large donation from ED&F Man,
IMAGINE were able to provide a brick home to a family previously living in a roofless shack.
A donation to IMAGINE from multi-national company ED&F Man in February this year enabled IMAGINE to construct a brick home for a deeply impoverished family in KaTembe. The single mother, Amelia, who has young children and was also providing care to her extended family, was living in an unstable reed built structure with no solid roof. She now has a two room brick home with external brick latrine and washing area, electricity and lighting!
In a handover ceremony which took place on Monday 9th May and was attended by representatives from ED&F Man, many community members, government officials and Mozambique television, the family gratefully received their new home.
We hope that they will live a very happy and healthy life in their new and more secure dwellings, and of course, IMAGINE will continue to support them through the Family Assistance Programme, while they need it.
And finally, we thank ED&F Man for their donation and support to IMAGINE which enabled this life changing gift to be given.
